Our Approach

Our first goal at Miller Guitar Academy is to help build confidence in each of our students.

We do this with positive encouragement, clear and strait forward materials and consistent lesson plans and presentation.

Our Guitar Academy method is “user friendly”, simple and musically rewarding.

We guaranty that anyone who comes to each lesson and consistently practices will be pleased by what they can do.

Our Classes

In each class a highly trained and caring instructor will guide you through each step carefully and steadily as you accomplish
each goal.

We use ear training, music reading and simple finger exercises to prepare each song.

The class becomes a supportive and interactive unit of individuals sharing in each other's musical growth.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are available to those who have completed at least level III of our method or equivalent studies. We feel it is important to first get the training that we so strongly reinforce in our classes.

Our Music

The music is simple at first and gradually becomes more complex and engaging. We use finger style techniques to play melodies, solo pieces and chords in a progressive format. The musical styles range from folk and blues to classical.

Many of our students play a variety of different styles outside of our approach. Our goal is to help empower our students to be
confident, well-trained musicians. Our students find that they can play their favorite styles more easily and confidently because
they are better equipped as musicians.

Advancing

Students can progress from level to level as far as they want to go. Once they have completed at least level three of Guitar Academy a student can be placed in private lessons or continue in an advanced group. Some of our groups have continued for years and continue to this day.
